Hi,

I am using imx8m plus evk and Intel Corporation Wi-Fi 6 AX210 as WLAN card. Somehow, I cannot enable the Wifi.

root@imx8mpevk:~# uname -r
6.6.3-lts-next-gccf0a99701a7

root@imx8mpevk:~# lspci
00:00.0 PCI bridge: Synopsys, Inc. DWC_usb3 / PCIe bridge (rev 01)
01:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation Wi-Fi 6 AX210/AX211/AX411 160MHz (rev 1a)

root@imx8mpevk:~# ls -l /lib/firmware
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1499284 Jun 20 22:17 iwlwifi-ty-a0-gf-a0-72.ucode
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 55020 Sep 20 15:19 iwlwifi-ty-a0-gf-a0.pnvm

root@imx8mpevk:~# sudo modprobe iwlwifi
modprobe: FATAL: Module iwlwifi not found in directory /lib/modules/6.6.3-lts-next-gccf0a99701a7

Furthermore, I am not able to download from the connected ethernet. I tried to search source.list but can't find anything.

root@imx8mpevk:~# ls /etc/apt/sources.list.d/
root@imx8mpevk:~#
root@imx8mpevk:~# ls /etc/apt/
apt.conf apt.conf.d auth.conf.d preferences.d sources.list.d trusted.gpg.d

root@imx8mpevk:~# apt-get install git

Is there any direction/guidance which I use to make the system working? I am not much familiar with the Yocto or NXP. I thorough guideline would be appreciated.

Thanks//Roy

Hi,

My target is to test the Intel wifi radio. Therefore, I must use the Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX210 card.

What about ethernet? Why can't I access repos/wget from the system? What configs should I take a look?

Thanks//Roy

Hi @iamRoy!

Unfortunatelly we can't  help you with the wifi drivers.

Sorry for the mistake!

Our BSP is not a Linux Distribution Like Debian or Ubuntu and to add packages to your rootfs should do it under Yocto Project.

Best Regards!

Hi @iamRoy!

Thank you for contacting NXP Support!

Unfortunately, the device that you are using is not supported by our BSP.

To add support for that wifi should be under Yocto.

We recommend using our wifi devices because the drivers are integrated into our BSP and if you are using an EVK board you shouldn't have a problem using our wifi devices.

Sorry for the mistake!

Best Regards!
