How to connect to a wifi via wpa_supplicant/wpa_cli on Android(not by the Settings UI)

We're running IMX8mini Android 9.0 system, without the display screen.

So, we want to have a way to connect to a Wifi(for example, SSID is MyWifi, password is 12345678). I found there's wpa_supplicant and wpa_cli under /vendor/bin/hw and /vendor/bin/, and there's some .rc files.

Under Linux, I know how to do this, but on Android, I tried the same steps, it failed.

Could someone give us a method, to let me be able to connect the wifi with the specified Wifi name and Wifi password?
