Selection of MCU for WiFi + Bluetooth Adapter Design

Hi,

I'm trying to design a WiFi + Bluetooth adapter module for an EVSE. I was planning to use an RF MCU SoC from your product line for this application. I wanted to use one of the following ranges: RW612, RW610, or 88MW320/322, but it's almost impossible to get any of these chips. I primarily purchase my products from Mouser, and they don't have stock of any of the mentioned SoCs. So, I have to consider other MCUs. Could you recommend an MCU with WiFi + Bluetooth that I can use for my application and is compatible with MCU-Link?

Regards,

Walter.

Hi,

The only options of “Wireless Hostless MCUs” are RW61X and 88MW32X.

You can use another MCU like the ones in the i.MX RT family, but you will need to get a wireless module (which already includes a NXP Wi-Fi chipset) in order to use Wi-Fi/BT.

Please take a look to UM11441 to see the supported combinations of wireless modules and RT MCUs.

In case it helps, we have a solution called EasyEVSE EV Charging Station Development Platform in case you’d like to take a look.

I hope this helps,
Daniel.
