Verifying S32K3 Standby Mode Entry Process?

Hello S32K3 Team,

I am utilizing a combination of S32K3 and FS26 to achieve the lowest power consumption state in which the MCU can detect the transition from Standby mode to Normal mode via the Wake-up Pin. Below is the process I've followed to enter Standby mode:

  1. Switch the CAN Transceiver to Standby mode.
  2. Use SPI communication to request a change to Standby state for FS26 (FS26: Normal Mode -> Standby Mode).
  3. Change the state of the MCU to STANDBY (S32K3: Run Mode -> Standby Mode).

Would this sequence be appropriate?

For your reference, entering standby mode through the above process results in the S32K312EVB-Q172 board consuming 18mA of power (excluding the illuminating LEDs).
I'm curious if there's a way to reduce power consumption to the microampere (uA) range.

Best Regard

Hello @NewbieNerd,

The sequence is correct.

We don't have any power consumption specification of the whole board.

Can you confirm the power consumption of the MCU alone is within the specified values?

It can be measured either at J18 or J10 provided R303 is removed.
