Is there a document or app note that discuss the TRNG on the S32K1xx series?

The S32K1xx Series Reference Manual only says "...Additionally a TRNG and Miyaguchi-Prenell compression sub-blocks enable true random number generation (entropy generator for PRNG in AES sub-block)...".

I couldn't find anything about the source of entropy (how the entropy is generated) nor the bits of entropy.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards.

Hello @carlos_garrido,

According to the AN5401, the CSEC is completely compatible with the
functional specifications of Hersteller Initiative Software-Secure Hardware extension (HIS-SHE) and GM-SHE+ standards.

This standard mentions that the entropy of the seed needs to be at least 80 bits.

Best Regards,

Alexis Andalon
