Hello,

I am not able to figure out the function of Free Running Timer of FlexCAN.

In FlexCAN example present in Design Studio says that reading TIMER Value unlock the Message Buffer.

How reading the TIMER value unlock the Message Buffer??

kindly help

Hi,

 

please refer to chapters 55.4.2.4 Free Running Timer (TIMER)  and 55.5.7.3 Mailbox lock mechanism of the RM.
