Codewarrior 3.1 & windows 8.1

Hi everybody,

I used to work with codewarrior 3.1 and windows XP.

Now I have been given a PC with Windows 8.1

Unfortunately CW does not work; when CW starts an error occurs:

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.

Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

Also compatibility with Win XP does not help

Does anyone know if there is any way to make CW 3.1 to work win Win 8.1 or I have to go back to Win XP?

hello Eric.

CW3.1 is a very old version. it can be supported by 32bit 2000/xp, but can't win7/win8.

so far we only have CW5.1 can support 32/64bit win7 but no CW for HCS12 version can support win8.1

if you insist using CW3.1, please stay on 32bit xp computer. if you use USB multilink interface . you need also install CodeWarrior for HC12 v3.1 - USB 2.0 Service Pack
