SC16IS741A wont sleep

Hi ,

      For our application we are sending very small packets of data (50 Bytes) very infrequently hence the

SC16IS741A should be asleep for 99.9% of the time.

Our problem is we cant get it to sleep.

Please can you confirm the registers that we should be setting over SPI to put it to sleep.

Attached is a Jpeg showing the settings that we are applying.

Hi Will,

First two transactions are correct, but the IER register is accessible only when LCR[7] = 0. So you need to clear this bit first and then send 0x0810 to set the IER[4] bit.
