Question about Cold Start function of FS8600 series PMIC

Hi Team,

I am going to use FS8600 series PMIC/SBC in my design for ADAS, now I have some questions about Cold Start function:

1. I don’t see the cold start information in the register table. Is the cold start status bit set to 1 or set to 0 completely determined internally by the device and cannot be modified by the user?

2. When the PMIC is powered on for the first time, does it have to go through the cold start first?

3. Can the user turn off the cold start function and pmic startup is entirely determined by the WAKE1/2 pin?

Hi Tomas,

After first supplied(coldstart=1)is completed, the ColdStart is reset in NORMAL_M state (coldstart=0).  The device can go to STANDBY state by a I2C command from the MCU. Due to WAKE1=WAKE2=0, the device go to LPOFF state.

1. Is the ColdStart  = 0 at this time( LPOFF state)?

2. How to reset  ColdStart  bit as 1 again? when VSUP < VSUP_UVLP,the device re-enter POWER-DOWN state?
