Need help with eMIOS

Hi,

I will be working on MPC5676R to design a controller for the BLDC motor.

I need help with the eMIOS.

I have the following question:

How is it connected with the SoC?

Is there any interface required with eMIOS and eTPU?

Are there any simulators on which i can practice programming the eMIOS?

Code Warrior can be used for eTPU only.

Please help.

There is no simulator for eMIOS timer, as it is relatively simple peripheral in comparison to eTPU.

I could recommend AN2865, sections 18 and 19:

I am not sure what would like to know SoC connection but if you ask about interconnection between eTPU and eMIOS, there is STAC bus and time bases synchronization:

1. 21.3.5.3 STAC Interface
2. 21.3.5.4 GTBE - Global Time Base Enable

If this question aims to pad to module routing then I would link to SIU module’s PCR registers configuring particular pins.
