hi i am trying to measure the period of the signal in EMIOS by using Input Period measurement(IPM) mode in MPC5777c. when i am measuring i am getting the correct result. but its value is holding for next time also i.e even i am not applying any signal on the next clock cycles its still holding the same value, Even though i  reinitialize  A and B registers

Hi,

the behavior looks correct. If there is no new edges detected, A/B registers keeps latest captured value.
In IPM mode those registers are read only, can be written in GPIO mode.
