I have one query related to the circuit recommendation for Boot Mode pins with IMXRT1176 part. As per the recommendation, resistors are to be added in series. What is the significance of adding in series?

We are not planning to put the switches in our design, can we follow below circuitry of pull up and pull down for the pins? Please share the drawbacks of using in below way-

Hi @priyanka09 ,

Thank you for your interest in the NXP MIMXRT product, I would like to provide service for you.

EVK is for the whole consideration, eg, someone want to use the BOOT related pin in the application, and don't want it is influenced by the boot external pull up or pull down, so add the isolate resistor.

To your own customer board, you don't need to use the BOOT_CFG, MODE pins in the application, so, you totally don't need add the isolation resistors, your picture situation is OK, please feel free to use it.

Wish it helps you!

Best Regards,

Kerry
