Hi,

unfortunately, our first custom board with a member of the i.MX RT family does not work. We have a 24 MHz crystall at the oscillator pins.

At the oscillator output XTALO is only a DC signal with about 1.11 V and no oscillation.

What can be the cause and needs to be checked?

Thanks & Regards,

Thomas

Hi,

Please refer RT1060 hardware design guide, the Table 4 provide some guideline about 24MHz oscillator circuit design.

The voltage should be ok: The logic level of this forcing clock must not exceed the NVCC_PLL (1.1V) level.

Load capacitor must chosse properly to align with crystal spec specified.

Bias XTALI with a 2.2 M resistor to GND.

Mount the resistor close to the XTALI ball.

Wish it helps.

Mike

Hi,

now the oscillator runs after placing a 4.7uF capacitor at VDD_SNVS_CAP.

Thanks

Thomas
