I have a i.MX RT1160 Evaluation Kit and I want to connect a MIPI-CSI camera (AR0144) to the J2 connector.

There is a camera demo provided with the SDK based on the ov5640 camera connected to J2 and uses the SCCB .

Do I need to use SCCB with my AR0144 camera as well? or can I use directly the I2C protocol? Are there any restriction/constraint from the EVK for the protocol to be used?

Hi,

Please refer here about Serial Camera Control Bus (SCCB) spec.

Serial Camera Control Bus (SCCB) bus is defined by OmniVision Tech company for control of most functions in OminVision's family of Camera.

Wish it helps.

best regards,

Mike

Hi,

The OV5640 also supports the I2C. Why are using SCCB and in my case you told me to use I2C?

Best regards,
