imxrt serial downloader issue

We are using iMXRT1176 for one of our project. USB1 is used for OTG (Serial downloader) and device. Whether USB1_VBUS has to be connected to 5V inorder to work as serial downloader. 

Currently programming is successful only after connecting 5V to VBUS of iMXRT. Whether this connection is mandatory.

Yes, it should be connected. If USB1 is unused then you can leave unconnected USB1_DN, USB1_DP, USB1_VBUS.
