RT1189 evb board loopback spi fail

I'm running the lpspi_loopback example program on an RT1189, and have wired together pins J44-8 and J44-10 (MISO & MOSI), but the masterRxData[] array is filled with zeroes and the test fails. Have I overlooked any configurations or settings?

Thanks for reaching out! Is there any NXP FAE following your project? Actually RT118x is NPI which is directly supported by NXP FAE team , we have no info regarding this chip so far. Please kindly contact the FAE for further support.
