Have you tried the procedure from WaRP7-User-Guide/Use_Cases.adoc at master · WaRP7/WaRP7-User-Guide · GitHub  already?

You are not going to ping google.com directly, you need to make sure you have configured a DNS server and you have Internet connection. At first, try to ping your local PC IP instead of an external DNS.

Sometimes my board also stops at

Configuring network interfaces... ifconfig: SIOCGIFFLAGS: No such device
Starting system message bus: dbus.
Starting Connection Manager

But waiting sometime (like 5 minutes) it can recover.

How long have you waited?

If you want to use Buildroot generating an image for warp7, just install Buildroot 2016.11 version, and then:

make warp7_defconfig

make

There is a Buildroot readme I wrote that explains how to use wifi on warp7:

buildroot - Buildroot: Making Embedded Linux easy

(See section "Using Wifi")

Actually, the i.MX7S-based WaRP7 board is the product not of NXP, but of 3rd party vendor Element14:

https://www.element14.com/community/docs/DOC-79058/l/warp7-the-next-generation-iot-and-wearable-deve...

So, please refer directly to their documentation and support.

Have a great day,
Artur
