Hello,

         I am facing some problems with audio codec sgtl5000.

SGTL5000 probing correctly but no sound.

Setup:

IMX6-Solo

Kernel-3.10.53

Android-4.4.3

CodecUsed-sgtl5000

Issue:

Sgtl5000 is probing properly as ,we can see in the log.(log-attached)

Reading device ID also.Trying to play .wav files by tinyplay

root@freescale$tinyplay .wav -D 0.

But no sound.

I probed the lines:

Dout-->nothing is coming

Din--->nothing is coming

LRCK-->getting proper clk--Coming continuously irrespective of whether audio is playing or not

SCLK-->getting proper clk--Coming continuously irrespective of whether audio is playing or not

MCLK-->getting proper clk-24Mhz

Can you help me to sort out this issue.

I' sorry, but I met the same problem. sgtl5000 has in the ALSA device list, but when I play music, there is no sound at all! I don't know how to do. Could you give me some ideas?

Best regards

zhang

Hi kavya

sgtl5000 is integrated in boundarydevices releases and its usage described below

https://boundarydevices.com/audio-output-selection-under-linux-on-i-mx6/

details of integration steps can be found for example in

https://d2phydb95qamfd.cloudfront.net/products/docs/vab-820/Android+BSP+Development+Guide/VAB-820_An...

Best regards

igor
