please check uboot/common/freescale/fsl_sys_rev.c

    fsl_system_rev |= cpu_type & 0xFF;

     * bit 12-15: Board type

     * 0x0 : Unknown

     * 0x1 : Sabre-AI (ARD)

so custom board should be correctly configured as Sabre-AI.

Also check if NOR can be programmed with SDK (drivers/eim)
