I have a design using the 1062, which seems to be out of stock everywhere for the next year and I'm wondering if some of the special feature chips are pin compatible. I can't find any documentation on the differences between the 106A 106F, 106L and 106S other than the brief one-line description in https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/nxp/data-sheets/IMXRT1060CEC.pdf which links to a eval kits (https://www.nxp.com/design/designs/edgeready-mcu-based-solution-for-alexa-for-iot:MCU-VOICE-CONTROL-...) but doesn't talk about how the chips are different. Did I miss a document that explains the differences between the chips? Is there any functionality (or boot expectations) in the 1062 that is not in the 106[AFLS] chips?
Thanks,
Hello @bennxp ,
The iMX.RT1062 is pin compatible with the versions of the 106A 106F 106L and 106S. They have the same Cortex M7. The difference between this products is that they have extra support on different areas:
106A - Alexa IoT
106F - Face Recognition
106L - Audio
106S- Local Voice.
Also I will recommend to check our authorized distributor network that we have available for your entity so they can inform you about the quantity they have available, sometimes on our website there are no products available, but our distributors can have some stock for this product.
Please let me know if you have any other question. I will be happy to assist you.
