Hi,

We designed a custom board with iMXRT1176, and a W25Q512NWEIM serial flash. When trying to upload the hello_world application, error occurs in one board. Also I tried the option "link application to ram" still it fails. Please suggest a solution to overcome the issue.

Hi Pablo

Thanks for your support.

I have checked all the points that you were shared.

Actually, I faced these flashing and debugging errors recently in my working boards. Initially boards were working without any flash or debug issue. I have checked all the voltages of IMXRT1176, everything is within the limit.

Also checked the power sequencing of board, it is as per the recommendation.

Could you please help to solve this issue.

Hi @Aparna

Thanks a lot for letting me know an update.

in order to do another test, do you think you may try to do a mass erase to your board? This is for discard your board is not bricked, because it is too weird that after following the suggestions and checking the correct voltages, you still cannot flash or debug your boards as you could before.

A suggestion is to use the MCU Boot Utility for your RT1170. Please check this link to download it:

https://github.com/JayHeng/NXP-MCUBootUtility

And here there is a brief guide to connect successfully your board:

https://community.nxp.com/t5/i-MX-RT/i-MX-RT1170-with-MCU-Boot-Utility/td-p/1303418

Please let me know an update and if it is possible, some screenshots that might tell me the error log you are obtaining besides the ones that you already sent. Also let me know if you need more help. I highly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.
Best Regards.
Pablo Avalos.
