iMX8MQ set primary audio device as headphone

Dear Team,

SW: Android 11.0.0 1.0.0

HW: iMX8MQ EVK board

We are testing the audio in this device for media playback. However, the media audio is always routed to HDMI audio and not 3.5mm audio. 3.5mm bus can ouput alarm and notifications. Even though we tried modifying the audio policy, we cannot make it work.

Our requirement:

1. MEDIA, NAVIGATION audio through 3.5mm

2. ALARM, NOTIFICATION, ALERT audio through HDMI audio

Could you help us with the appropriate audio configuration? PFA our audio policy file

The main Audio DAC used on the EVK board is CIRRUS LOGIC Low Power, high quality Stereo DAC, WM8524. The digital interface between i.MX 8M and WM8524 includes three signals: SYNC_CLK, BCLK, and DACDAT. The i.MX 8M also provides the MCLK to WM8960. i.MX 8M EVK includes one headphone interface (J1101). J1101 is a 3.5 mm 4-pole (or TRRS) phone jack.

The codec used is WM8524, which only supports audio playback.
