We use i.MX8MPlus to run Windows 10 IoT system and encounter the compatibility problem of Samsung eMMC. How to solve it? Details are as follows:

1. Failed to run Windows 10 IoT using Samsung /KLMAG1JETD-B041/16GB eMMC5.1

2. Windows 10 IoT was successfully run with Samsung /KLMAG2GEUF-B04P/16GB eMMC5.1.

3. The above two Samsung eMMC burning ubuntu system runs normally, but there is a difference in running Wingdows 10 IoT.

4. The picture shows the comparison between operation failure and success.Windows OK vs NG.png

Do you have the datasheets for the two Samsung parts? I'm curious what their differences might be.

Also do you have the whole video showing where the script actually fails?

Hi Bio_TICFSL:

We ran Windows 10 IoT with the new Samsung /KLMAG1JETD-B041/16GB chip and still failed.

We erased the Samsung /KLMAG1JETD-B041/16GB chip and still failed to run Windows 10 IoT.

Running the following command to erase also fails :

# destroy the partition table

dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdx bs=1024 count=1
