can we upgrade to iMX6 quad plus from iMX6 quad without modifying the existing imx6 quad PCB?

Hi 

iMX6 quad and iMX6 quad Plus are seems to be pin to pin compatible. I already designed a custom PCB for iMX6 Quad processor. Can I mount the iMx6 quad Plus processor in the already existing PCB ? or do I need to redesign the PCB? 

Is there any application note available to explain the hardware changes required for upgrade?

There is an Engineering Bulletin covering the differences between the i.MX6D/Q and the i.MX6DP/QP (link below).

In general the layout remains the same but the power requirements vary a little so you would need to make sure that your power supplies will provide enough power.
