Why the imx8m mini and imx8m nano on the same yocto version, the file system size difference?

In Yocto 5.4.70, the 8M mini using "df -h" the /dev/root used size is 1.5G,

but 8M nano is 2.1G.

our custom board the eMMC size only 4G, This situation will make it can't to flash image to eMMC on nano

The imx8m mini and imx8m nano are different, so the file system file size is not the same. For 4G emmc is not enough. Here you can try to use larger sd card if your board support it.
