Switching positions on EVB 8MMINI-BB

Hello Team,

My Customer has the following two questions, please do your best to support them.

  1. We are working with AzureWave AW-PU530 SOM module on base i.Mx8MM chip. Now we are using the evaluation board 8MMINI-BB.

Configuration of switches as on schematic EVB for boot from MMC.

SW1101[1-10]: 0110110001

SW1102[1-10]: 0001010100

The board is working properly. But we want to know if there are additional instructions specific to the module AW-PU530.

 

2. We plan to use eFuses. In accordance with the instructions in document #IMX8MMRM.pdf, the following set of bits for firmware is obtained

fuse bank1 word 3 : 0x470:

BOOT_CFG[31:30] - Reserved

BOOT_CFG[29] - FORCE_COLD_BOOT(SBMR) - 0 (fast recovery - default)

BOOT_CFG[28] - BT_FUSE_SEL - 1 - If boot_mode="00" and If boot_mode="10" (Production) 1=Boot mode configuration is taken from fuses.

BOOT_CFG[27:26] - Reserved

BOOT_CFG[25] - SEC_CONFIG[1] - Security Configuration (with SEC_CONFIG[0] - 0x450[17]) - 00 - FAB (Open) [01 - Open - allows any code to be flashed and executed, even if it has no valid signature. 1x - Closed (Security On)]

BOOT_CFG[24:16] - Reserved

BOOT_CFG[15:0] 0010101000100011 = 0x2A23

Result:

00 0 1 00 0 000000000 0010101000100011 = 1000 2A23

as we will be make command like this

 $ fuse prog -y 1 3 0x10002A23It is will be right?

Dear @shai_b Sorry for late update to you, for the module AW-PU530 do you mean the CPU board we supply?

Hi @Rita_Wang,

The customer uses AW-PU530 which is based on i.MX8M mini chipset and all the questions refer to the #imx8mm.
