Dear team,

I would like to ask about power rail design for i.MX6SoloX.

My customer has two questions as below, please give your answers to that.

1. The voltage that fed into NVCC_* of i.MX6SX.

Basically, the customer wants to use 3.3V GPIO, but CSI interface that they want to connect CMOS sensor is 1.8V power.

Then they think that NVCC_CSI_LCD1 should be 1.8V and the other NVCC_* should be 3.3V. Is it alright?

2. The voltage of NVCC_USB_H

i.MX6SX datasheet states that NVCC_USB_H should be connected to GND through 10KOhm in the case of not using HSIC. But the customer wants to use USB_H_DATA pad and USB_H_STROBE pad as I2C signals. In the case of that, should NVCC_USB_H be connected to I2C power rail?

Thanks,

Miyamoto

Hi Miyamoto

1. yes, if  CMOS sensor is 1.8V power and connected to pads with NVCC_CSI_LCD1

power domain. Power domains can be found in

i.MX6SX Datasheet Table 116. 19x19 mm Functional Contact Assignments

http://cache.freescale.com/files/32bit/doc/data_sheet/IMX6SXCEC.pdf

2. right, NVCC_USB_H can be connected to I2C power rail, provided that

its requirements given in Table 11. Operating ranges were satisfied.
