MMPF0100NPAEP Power-off

Hi, We are using MMPF0100NPAEP for powering a general purpose SoC. PWRON is connected to VSNVS (1.8V) using a pull-up resistor and a pushbutton switch and in OTP, PWRON_CFG bit is set to 0.

When VIN power is applied and pushbutton is pressed, all the voltage rails come up as expected. When the pushbutton is pushed again or kept pressed, the device is not switching off or going to sleep mode.

Could you please let us know what is the issue here? Am I missing anything?

Thanks,

Naveen

Hello,

  From the PMIC datasheet:

The PWRON pin is used to power off the PF0100. The PWRON pin can be configured with OTP to power off the PMIC under the following [...] conditions:
1. PWRON_CFG bit = 0, SWxOMODE bit = 0 and PWRON pin is low.

...

Any regulators whose SWxOMODE bit is set to “1” enters Sleep mode if a PWRON turn-off event occurs, and any regulator whose SWxOMODE bit is set to “0” turns off.

Is it possible to check SWxOMODE bit?

Have a great day,
Yuri
