The processor manual for the i.MX 8M (IMX8MDQLQRM) lists an "MMCAU (Crypto Acceleration Unit)" as a feature of the Cortex-M4 core in section 4.2.1.1. However, it provides no further details. Is there a separate reference manual for the MMCAU?

I have found the "CAU and MMCAU Software Library" on the NXP site. Is that code is intended to run on the i.MX8's M4 core? It does not appear to work there.

Thanks,

Hi @marcuspe

The M4 core on i.MX8M has no the IP MMCAU. Apologies for that. CAAM is a feature for i.MX8M.

Best regards

Harvey
