MIPI CSI Interface with differnt voltage level

Hi,

we have a problem by PCB design. Our processor imx8mp is currently using 1.2V for MIPI-CSI interface, but the sensor we using (AR2020) can only support 1.05V MIPI-CSI interface. To avoid any changes on processor bord side, we are trying to find a solution for this problem just on the sensor side.

Is a level shifter (level translation) necessary for this situation? Or we can just directly connect them?

I am looking forward for your answer. Thanks a lot.

Best regards

Yujia

Hi @YHE_Desko,

I hope you are doing well.

i.MX8MP MIPI interface is compliant with MIPI D-PHY specification V1.2 and MIPI CSI2 Specification V1.3 except for the C-PHY feature.

One can use the CSI sensors which comply with above mentioned MIPI specifications.

Thanks & Regards,
