Is it possible to connect a MIPI CSI-1 device to i.MX8MMini and SN65LVDS315 ?

Hi all,

Is SN65LVDS315 (MIPI CSI-1) compatible with our i.MX8MMini MIPI CSI-2 interface ?

CSI-2 extends CSI-1 with multiple lanes, but both standards use the same D-PHY layer.

According to the following thread, it can't connect with i.MX6 and SN65LVDS315 due to the difference of standard.

We guess that it's same as i.MX8MMini. Am I correct ?

HI Ko-Hey,

Yes, the CSI-2 interface is not compatible with CSI-1 devices and cannot use SN65LVDS315 for CSI-2 Interface.
