Hi Alls,

We have a few of our custom boards with i.MX6Q crashed at rate of every 30-45 minutes with the internal LDO (VDDARM_CAP) set at 1.150V@792Mhz. Raising this voltage to 1.175V seem to be much better, but the boards still crashed after about three days. We raised the voltage to 1.200V, and it last more than 1 week until we stop the test. We could see improvement by raising the voltage as our testing continue. The CPU temperature was about the same at either 1.200V or 1.175V.

Is there any concern if the LDO core voltage increased to 1.200V?

Hi @phuocvo,

 

The processor should work without problems, just complain about the following restrictions:

VDD_ARM_CAP must not exceed VDD_CACHE_CAP by more than +50 mV. VDD_CACHE_CAP must not exceed and VDD_ARM_CAP by more than 200 mV.
