IMX6SX LDO bypass and input voltage

hi experts

now i am in  design  of a  custom board  and

due to  long delivery PMIC such as PF3000    i am considering  PF5020 or discrete regulators

there are some question about  power supply in IMX6X

1)  what is the advantage  of using external PMIC over internal LDO ( i  just thought on heat generation on IC  )

2) from AN12992  Figure 2.    it shows that  VDD_CORE/VDD_SOC use 1.375V input,

if  i use LDO bypass mode,  could i  keep 1.375V input  constantly without no control  ( i don't need DVFS and use  constant  operating  frequency and can't find a PF5020 pmic driver)

   3) similar to question2  .  from kernel dts , imx6sx.dtsi and imx6sx-sdb.dts use different operating-points table, imx6sx-sdb table's 996MHZ voltage is a bit higher , then  does that  mean that i could use  max uV to all frequency ?  in case  does the IC generate more heat than  lower voltage input ?

i googled for days but  couldn't find any useful  information

any advices or  web sites will be of great help

 thanks  in advance

sincerely
