How to use Config Tools for i.MX v7

I have a question. Please tell me know.

In Config Tools for i.MX v7 , there are the following items.

Among these are "Reset" and "NoInit".

When should these be set?

I’m still waiting for further information on why these options have been added, but both “reset” and “Noinit” would result on the registers keeping their reset values.

I received confirmation from our experts on how these options work:

In Config Tools for i.MX there is no difference in Pins tool generated code for "No init" and "Reset" in the pin configuration. No C code for modification is generated for these options.

However, this is true only when all electrical properties are displayed in italic (means after-reset). When anything is set to user-specified value (displayed as non-italic) then generated code may include setting also for other bit-fields of non-zero values for electrical properties configured in given register. This is how the code generation script handles pin routing for i.MX devices.
