Dear All,
I'm interested in the HDMI RX interface available uniquely on iMX8QM. However, there are not many discussions on that interface. I browsed this Community forum and found below tickets and sharing :
https://community.nxp.com/t5/i-MX-Processors-Knowledge-Base/i-mx8qm-HDMI-RX/ta-p/1111058
I might missing some. Therefore, I would like to know if it is available and stable in recent BSPs (from 5.4.70-2.3.x onward), please ?
Thanks very much in advance and look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Khang

Hi @igorpadykov ,
Thanks for the confirmation. I would like to know if there would be any plan to support the interface in future as it is part of the SoC's HW, please ?

Khang
I have tested this feature with latest bsp version 5.10.52, maybe you can refer to it
"https://community.nxp.com/t5/i-MX-Processors-Knowledge-Base/i-mx8qm-HDMI-RX/ta-p/1111058"
I can see from the recent articles that the hdmi rx is working. I was hoping to understand with the iMX8 SOC if:
1.4k, 30fps AND 10 bit 422 is supported
2. if the iMX8 supports USB 3 OTG device mode
Hoping the SOC could be a solution to capture frame data through the USB to a host device.
Thanks

Hi Khang
unfortunately HDMI RX is not listed among supported functionalities in i.MX Linux Release Notes
also footnote 3 Table 8. Operating ranges i.MX 8QuadMax Automotive and Infotainment Applications Processors states: "HDMI-RX is not currently supported.."
