Toggling rx pin reboots linux

Hi,

we have a board with a MVF61NN151CMK50 chip running Linux.

During boot some of our boards will have a Linux soft lockup before Freeing init memory, this is only when ambient temperature is above 65° C.

If the Rx pin is connected to ground, or with the FTDI USB to UART interface for debugging, we do not have this issue with the boards with temperature problems.

The Rx pin is connected to SCI0_RX.

If we disconnect the Rx pin, Linux will sometimes reboot.

What can cause the Rx pin to have soft lockup when the ambient temperature is + 65° and reboot of Linux indepnedent of temperature?
