As NXP Devkit based on T1,T2,T4 CPU boot with u-boot,

and now u-boot is going dropping support to PPC (and m68k) its a big problem? isn't it?

"u-boot drop support for PPC and m68k boards because these boards have not been converted to CONFIG_DM_PCI configuration by the deadline."

In the u-boot mailing list u-boot they wrote:
The platform can come back if someone is going to be actively
maintaining the support.  No one had been doing that, so I'm not sure
what hidden breakage existed underneath the technical debt.

@nxp is not going to maintain the support for u-boot?

There are bootloader alternative? open firmware, coreboot, grub ?

So NXP contribute to mainline u-boot or you have a separated fork ?

I have find this repository that is related to MXP QoriQ processors https://source.codeaurora.org/external/qoriq/qoriq-components/u-boot/

Or is better to reference to the main line u-boot? https://github.com/u-boot/u-boot

Thanks!
