Codewarrior Special Edition for PowerPC?

Hi, I installed the CodeWarrior 11.1 in December. This license has now expired.
I have seen that there are (has been) Special Edition versions of this compiler with 128kB limitations.

Since I am working with a bootloader, this is not a problem for me,
but for application developers this will not work
We are not there yet in the decision process however.

What is the latest revision of the Special Edition that supports the MPC5643L?
Can the special edition be downloaded from somewhere?
Can the current evaluation version be extended?

Thanks!

Hi,

CodeWarrior for MCUs v11.x Special edition code size limit is 512kB of C object code for MPC56xx.

You can download Special Edition here:

https://www.nxp.com/design/software/development-software/codewarrior-development-tools/codewarrior-l...

But the only difference between version is license file.

So if you install e.g. Evaluation Edition: https://www.nxp.com/webapp/swlicensing/sso/downloadSoftware.sp?catid=CWX-MCU-PROED-EX_11-1

After the license expires it automatically switches to Special Edition (expired on no license.dat file present).

AFAIK you can extend Evaluation Edition 3 times in total so if you have already evaluated or extended CodeWarrior in past you might already reached this limit.

Hope it helps!
