Hi,
No, I would not recommend to solder the MPL3115A2 in the vapor phase oven without sticking the hole in the sensor cover because high humid and heat media have the potential to dissolve, or be absorbed by the gel and corrupt the die surface or lead to wire-bond breakage.
So, sealing the hole on the sensor with kapton tape is absolutely recommended.
