Hello,

I would like to ask regarding media compatibility of your sensor series which use fluorosilicone gel and media-compatible gel. Specifically, MPXH6300A/MPXx6250A/MPXH6400A.

Is there a list of liquids which are compatible with each of fluorosilicone/media-compatible gels?
Is performance affected over long periods of direct contact with liquids?

Specifially, I'd like to know if silicone oil is a suitable liquid to use in combination with these sensors.

Best Regards,

Dmitri

Hello Tomas,

I have previously read the document you link to, and it provides some useful information.
However, it is slightly unclear what the results in the table say:

For example: In the second column under "media resistant gel" I see both "Tested" and "Okay". Does this mean that "Tested" is okay or not okay?

Also, looking at the table, no conclusions can be drawn on the long-term characteristics using the different gels. Could you please provide more information on these topics?

Best Regards,

Dmitri

Hello Dmitri,

I would recommend taking a closer look at our AN3728 which deals with the media compatibility of NXP IPS with both a Fluorosilicone and an improved Media Resistant gel.

Best regards,

Tomas
