Hi Support,
Customer (AEV) need help with identifying suitability of the NXP parts for our mission profile. Mission profile for their product is for a total operating hours of 35000 hours, They are checking if we could guide them how to convert the base failure rate for a mission profile of 35000 hours. Or provide them findings based on S32G399ASCK1VUCT.
Regards,
Marcus
Hi Marcus,
Customer should check the PPAP so they can see what type of HTOL was performed for S32G (you can contact Brad or the quality department). The Datasheet is the official document where the maximum rating of hours are specified but to judge we would need to know the temperature condition. (how many hours at which temperature).
Brad Loane confirm if some version of S32G were used for Industrial with stricter mission profile.
Hi Antoine and team,
Any updates?
Hi Antoine,
Customer will like to seek further clarification if S32G3 is also qualified under Industrial Mission Profile. Please find here their query:
==========
After consultation with our functional safety team, their recommendation has been to double check against the practice in industrial applications. They believe that it is common for parts in industrial applications to have mission profiles of 30 years continuous running.
Thus, can you please help us check if these parts were qualified against any industrial mission profile?

Marcus
Hi Marcus,
regarding Mission profile there are two topics: For changing the failure Rate customer can modify in Medini the Mission profile and redistribute the failure Rte. Thye would need to specify the temperature range of the 35000 hours. Medini will recompute the failure Rate using the IEC62380. Slide 10-11-12 of this internal presentation shows how to do it, you can forward these 3 slides to AEV.
