Hello

We are using S32K148 MCAL RTM 4.0 1.0.4 in an Autosar project using the Greenhills compiler tool chain.

We have some performant issues and are looking to increase compiler optimisation level to -Ospeed to eek as much performance as possible.

What we need from NXP is whether any verification with MCAL plus Greenhills compiler plus high optimisation, has been performed? This could cover any necessary variable declarations with volatile etc etc.

This isn't quite what I was looking for; but your last line answers my question in so far as "specific cases of MCAL have not been tested" means the information I am after does not officially exist.

Hi @partis,

Currently there is no official example for MCAL with GHS compiler, but a series of recommendations for code optimization has been published in this community post: S32K3xx How to optimization APP code for get more high performance - NXP Community.

These recommendations include the following note "If used IAR/GHS etc. and set compiler flag, then the Coremark value is very closely with RM."

This post is referring to performance in the S32K3 in general, so specific cases of MCAL have not been tested.
