S32K118 LPI2C master clock - Behaviour in a very noisy environment

Hello NXP Team,

I am working on a project on which there is an I2C communication bus between a master (S32K118) and a slave (LED animation driver). The bit rate is 400 kbit/s. The product is working in a very noisy environment.

I would like to understand why SCL and SDA lines are permanently lost (stuck to VCC) when I apply on SCL a negative-going pulse even for a very short time (for example, only 300ns are enough to lost the I2C bus !).

What should be the configuration of the LPI2C module to avoid blocking the I2C bus ?

FYI, in that case, I can unblock the I2C bus with a short negative-going pulse on SDA. After this pulse on SDA, everything is working properly again.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Best regards,

Thierry
