Hello,

As far As I know,

CAN 2.0A controller can not communicate with CAN 2.0B Controller.

Because CAN 2.0A Controller neglects CAN 2.0B format message.

However, CAN 2.0B Controller support backward compatibility of CAN 2.0A format message.

Am I correct?

And I'd like to know if S32K1 and S32K3's FlexCAN module is CAN 2.0B Controller to support backward compatibility of CAN 2.0A controller?

Thank you,

Best regards,

Andy

Hi@andy_kim

Both S32K1 and S32K3 are support FlexCAN ,

and the  FlexCAN controller is a highly configurable, synthesizable core implementing the CAN protocol (ISO 11898-1), CAN with Flexible Data rate (CAN FD), and CAN 2.0 B protocol specifications.

BR!
