Compatibility between S32K148EVB and SJA1105 Ethernet switch

Hello there,

I came to know about Ethernet switch evaluation board SJA1105PEL/QEL/REL/SEL which supports five ports capable of 10/100/1000 Mbit/s data rate including MII/RMII/RGMII and SGMII interfaces. 

I also came to know about the S32K evaluation board S32K148EVB which supports RMII and MII as the ethernet interface.

Now my doubt is, can i use S32K148EVB with SJA1105 Ethernet switch for communication over Ethernet? Are they compatible with each other?

And is  Ethernet interface of SJA1105 Ethernet switch configurable? Can i configure  SJA1105 Ethernet switch to RMII or MII interface for communicating with the S32 controller.

If interface for switch is configurable, how easy it is for the user to configure it?

Dear Martin

I also want to confirm if SJA1105Q EVB and S32K148 EVB can connect and communicate via Sable connector.

S32K EVB sets to use RMII, but SJA1105Q EVB sets to use RGMII on schematics.

If SJA1105Q EVB sets RMII mode(switch configuration via PC and running),

then S32K EVB and SJA1105Q EVB can connects via RMII.

Am I correct ?
