Which version of Code Warrior Special Edition should I be using for use with the 9S12XDP512? Looking at the selections offered I couldn't find one that specified this particular target.

Thanks Erich, but when I go here

Special Edition Software

and look at the info on CW12V5.1, the 9S12XDP512 is not on the list of supported microcontrollers, or am I missing it somewhere?

i think you should click "i" icon of the item in

http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/overview.jsp?code=CW_SPECIALEDITIONS

this is the "new feature" of CW5.1, but not all the 5.1 features.

CW5.1 can well support all HC12,HCS12 and HCS12X family chips.

    • MC9S12G128, MC9S12G96

    • MC9S12I128
    • MC9S12XB256
    • MC9S12XHY128, MC9S12XHY256
    • MC9S12XHZ256, MC9S12XHZ384

I did click the "i" icon but didn't , and still don't see any mention of the 9S12XDP512.

No matter. If you say it will work then that's the answer I was looking for.

Thanks

you are correct there is no mention if click i button. it only mentioned the new feature and improvement. all features are listed in its main page: http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/prod_summary.jsp?code=CW-HCS12X&tid=CWH
