Best way to update from S12ZVC application and hardware to CAN FD

Hello! 

we are using since a couple of years an analog to can module using the S12ZVC. We are already in production since 3 years but now the customer need also CAN FD. What do you suggest in order to minimize the changes and development?  using CAN fd to spi interface? write your own can fd library for the s12zvc?

Hello,

Since there is no pin to pin compatible MCU from the MagniV family with CAN FD support, the external CAN controller will be probably the most feasible solution.
