Hi all,

From datasheet I see VSUP is connected with battery plus pole directly, the battery voltage is mostly about 12V,VSUP supply 5V for this kit, I don't understand how to make 12V convert to 5V. Could you help me clarify this question?

thank you.

Hi Dw,

The MM912J637 is powered directly from 12V (only through battery reverse protection diode).

The MM912J637 contains two dies (silicon chips) in the single package while analog die contains the 5V voltage regulator for MCU die.

VSUP is input power supply pin for the analog die. VDDX is output from LDO at the analog die. VDDXR is 5V input power supply pin at the MCU die. The VDDX and VDDXR must be connected externally together.

I hope it helps you.

Have a great day,
Radek
