we have a qemu vm based on an e5500 core, and wanted to use kvm to speed up the virutalization. We are wondering if it possible to do this on an e6500 core or will it only be possible on an e5500 core? Thanks.

So from the link it sounds like the answer is no. In order to run an e5500 vcpu I would need to be on an e5500 core, in order to run an e6500 vm I would have to be on an e6500. Is that correct? Thanks.
