Hello everyone.

I have a device with chip: mc9s12dp512  4LOOM secured and Atmel 45db081d, I guess they work together? I need to make a copy of that device so I can write the file to another one

Is the  Demo9s12xdt512E good device for that kind of job?

Cheers Piter

Hi,

Secured device is not readable unless it contains backdoor key which must be a part of the application software loaded in the MCU. The only you can do on secured device is mass erase to clear the content of it followed by routine which writes security byte to unsecure state to be able to communicate with the MCU and load a new code to this device. Moreover S12D is not fully compatible with S12XD. The differences are described in the application note:

Best regards,

Ladislav
